As with all things, you need a plan if you want to get to a place. Over the past year we have talked about many different locations. We talked about going to SE Asia, New Zealand, Northern Africa, and most of Europe. As we would like to visit all areas, we are on a small budget and want to leave for a year. The plans below should help our dollar go far (lots of time in cheap countries) yet still experience a wide range of cultures.
Plans change…about 3 months into our trip we decided to significantly change our trip. We are going to send our bicycles home, fly to SE Asia and take a Permaculture Design course. After that we are going to volunteer at a permacutlure project in North Thailand (called the Panya Project). This opportunity speaks to us both and we both feel like this is a great decision. As for the cycling in the Middle East and Europe, that will have to wait until another time.
The trip is done, it was a blast, hopefully there will be another chance to ride our cycles again.

You MUST make a slight detour from your route and go check out Rome (specifically the Vatican and St Peter’s Cathedral – it will blow your mind) and Paris. Other than that your trip looks AWESOME!!! ps: Greece is really nice too especially the islands. Just a thought… Since you’re there anyways…
Congratulations, you are off and flying. Hope you are have a great first day of your adventure. Will be thinking of you and can’t wait for the updates and pictures. Anne

How are you ? Am sure you are enjoying the warm weather in Goa. This is Prabhu – co passenger in the flight from Frankfurt to Mumbai. The Ordeal in Delhi was good and bad. After a long pause , i finally reached ahmedabad on the evening of 27th.
Glad to see your Website and latest update of your trip. Your latest itinerary within India is marvellous.
Am still here in Ahmedabad and will be travelling down south over the weekend. Will get some details for you , during my visit to down south.
You will be cycling towards the coastal side after reaching Madras, that is :
1.Tamil Nadu ( Madras–>Pondicherry–>Tirunelveli)
2. Kerala (Trivandrum–>Cochin–>Chalakudi)
3. Tamil Nadu(Coimbatore–>Ooty–>Mudumalai)
4. Karnataka (Mudumalai–>Mysore–>Bangalore–>Hubli)
All these are really nice places.
Happy Cycling !!!
Regards,
Prabhu.
Thanks for the tips, we will check out those areas if they make sence.
Merry Christmas,
Take a moment to think of the cold and snow back here and then you know you have the right idea about being there. You prabably will miss the big turkey dinner but the fresh fruit and veg will be better for you.
I love your trip and watch it everyday.
Merry,Merry

Yes, we are glad to not be in the snow and cold, I can’t even really believe it is almost January! Glad to hear you are checking out our blog.
Hey guys!
Looks like you’re having an awesome trip so far. Amazing photos! We’ve been in Thailand for 2 weeks and tomorrow we’re heading into Laos and taking a slow boat down the Mekong to Luang Prabang. We’ve been thinking about you and hoping you’re having a great trip. Take care and happy travels!

Hey, we were wondering what was happening your end as well. I hope the trouble in Bangkok didn’t disrupt your travels. You guys should keep us posted on your progress. Maybe Tony should start a blog….hahaha
hey there you two!
just checking out panya and embun pagi stumbled onto your blog, looks like you had a great time! i was wondering how it is with volunteering at panya, do you think that it is still possible? that would be great! I’ll write them as well, lets see! what are you two up to now?
Hi Antonia,
Volunteering at Panya is great, lots to learn and do everyday! Right now there is a Natural Building Internship happening, sometime after that is over there will likely be short-term volunteers again. Best to contact Richard at Panya to find out about when it would be possible to volunteer, the phone number is 087 181 8821.
